December 29th 2015 - Save as PDF fails - Public Service Announcement
On November 17 2015 Microsoft released Windows Update 3102049 to add support for the Azerbaijani Manat and Georgian Lari currency symbols to Windows 7, 8, 2008 Server and 2012 Server. Unfortunately, this update breaks Saving Reports to PDF files within Crystal Reports. Technically 0k PDF files are created. The following Predator applications use Crystal Reports and will experience the issue:
- Predator CNC Editor
- Predator MDC
- Predator PDM
- Predator Tracker
- Predator Travelers
NOTE: The issue will affect all versions of all of the above applications.
This issue is known by Microsoft and affects a lot of Windows applications due to the popularity of Crystal Reports. Until an update is provided by Microsoft, Predator Software recommends one of the following:
- Uninstall Windows Update 3102049
- Print to a PDF printer driver
- Only use Save As HTML or Save As Excel

November 24th 2015 - Predator MDC for Android v10.0.29 is released
Predator MDC for Android v10.0.29 is now available. This new version makes the following improvements:
- Improves all dialogs to be easier to use
- Improves most dialogs by eliminating multiple pulldowns
- Improves font sizes on most screen resolutions
- Improves and simplified scrap reporting by prompting for the reason first
- Improves 10 International languages
November 7th 2015 - New Predator Light Tower option is released
A new Predator Light Tower option is now available for Predator MDC Adapters or Predator EditLocks. Predator Light Towers have 5 LEDs and 2 buzzers. Each LED or buzzer can be driven by the following:
- Predator MDC Adapter I/O
- Predator EditLock I/O
- Bar Code Readers
- QR Code Readers
- Predator DNC
- Predator MDC
- Predator PDM
- Predator Touch HMI
- Digital I/O
In addition, combinations of all of the above are possible. For example, digital I/O can enable LEDs or buzzers while Predator Software applications can turn the LEDs or buzzers off. Finally, all Light Tower activity can be stored within Predator MDC, Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel with optional email notifications.
November 3rd 2015 - Predator Fanuc Focas Tester v10.0.5.19 is updated
Predator Fanuc Focas Tester v10.0.5.19 has been updated with the following improvements:

October 31st 2015 - Predator Touch HMI v10.0.5.27 is released
Predator Touch HMI v10.0.5.27 is now available. This new Windows application is a touch first HMI, Human Machine Interface, designed to replace shop floor bar code readers, QR code readers and hand held terminals. Machinists and operators love the simplicity and IT loves the ease of creating new applications and deploying them. Predator Touch HMIs run on almost all Windows editions.

September 11th 2015 - Predator MDC Adapter v5.10 is released
Predator MDC Adapter v5.10 firmware is now available. This new version is a significant re-design to simplify development of new features. The following improvements have been made as part of this re-design:
- Adds integrated Predator MDC Adapter/EditLock
- Adds low voltage expansion module
- Adds Kitamura Light Tower support
- Improves Haas Light Tower support

August 21st 2015 - Predator MDC v10.0.214 is released

August 6th 2015 - Predator Import Utility v11.0.36 is released
Predator Import Utility v11.0.36 is a stand alone command line application that can be used to import CSV files into Predator v11 applications. This utility works similarly to importing from the Administrator menu. However as a stand alone utility many customers have been able to automate the import process.
This new version makes the following improvements:

June 22nd 2015 - Jerry Francis Dies in Scuba Diving Accident
In a scuba diving accident in the Gulf of Mexico, Jerry Francis, our co-worker, friend and avid scuba diver, died at age 53 on June 13th. He was a Predator Support Engineer for the last 3 years and he will be missed. Customers who were working with Jerry on active projects can contact our main support line for reassignment.
June 7th 2015 - Predator License Utility v10.0.5.25 is released
Predator License Utility v10.0.5.25 is now available. This new utility is designed to simplify Predator License management before and after installation of Predator applications. With existing installations, the Products tab provides an overview of existing licenses with options to copy and delete licenses. With new installations, the Network Cards tab provides an easy method of displaying all network cards on the PC prior to requesting temporary licenses. Refer to the following details:

February 11th 2015 - Predator MDC v10.0.206 is released
Predator MDC v10.0.206 is now available. This new version enhances the Machine Timeline Chart and fixes a setup time bug. During a source code consolidation effort with v10.0.204, we accidentally introduced a bug with tracking setup time which may result in excessive setup time with some customers. The bug is specific to the case when a Cycle Start, Teardown Start or Machine Downtime Start follows a Setup Start. If Setup End commands are used, the bug will not be encountered. Customers running Predator MDC v10.0.204 should upgrade to v10.0.206 as soon as possible to properly track new setup time. Within Predator MDC v10.0.206, we added a new command line option called -repair that provides a wizard to automatically go back in time and repair and fix excessive setup times caused by build 204. Step through the following process to repair an existing database:
1. Stop the Predator MDC Service 2. Uninstall Predator MDC v10.0.204 3. Install Predator MDC v10.0.206 4. Run Predator MDC v10.0.206 via the following command line
pmdc.exe -repair
5. Logon to Predator MDC 6. A repair dialog will show the number of setup time records to repair 7. Click Ok to fix all setup time records
